Baby Shower
My baby shower is something I thought about before falling pregnant, many times! I wondered what it would be like, feel like and when the day would actually come!? And then there it was - I anticipated organising everything myself but my incredible friends wouldn't let me. I was given strict instructions to step away from the organising, which killed me due to my OCD, control freak personality LOL BUT WOW! I honestly couldn't have wished for a more perfect day. It was phenomenal, everything about it. I left feeling so overwhelmed by the amazing people in my life. I always knew how lucky I was but this day really left me feeling speechless. I still battle to find the words to explain just how grateful I am. Absolutely divine Boho, garden Baby Shower - it was nothing short of perfect! Love you girls all madly xx
Baby Shower 2
Two weeks after my Baby Shower work hosted a Baby Shower for me - goodness me. Again, speechless. I just actually have no idea how I got this lucky... honestly!
My Maternity Shoot
March 2018, Personally, I am actually not a huge fan of maternity shoots. For the simple reason that I have very rarely looked at one and been like wow that's phenomenal. Nothing personal peeps. Just how I feel. When we fell pregnant and after we did our announcement shoot I ummmed and ahhhed about it and actually one of my brothers joked with me and asked how many shoots and parties are we going to do... and my reply was "many" ha ha ha which we has deemed to be true! But I decided and with the encouragement of my best friend, lets do it all! So I decided to do a maternity shoot but I had to search far and wide to find a photographer that could deliver on my vision.
Ironically enough, my vision was very different to what we actually landed up doing. I envisioned a more rustic shoot in a dilapidated building with a gorgeous dress, and the day of our shoot protests were happening in town so my photographer asked if she could wing it - handed me a pair of leggings and a jersey and I said "sure" and went with it. Wow am I glad I did! I couldn't have asked for a better result!
